Melting electrode gas metal arc welding (GMAW for short). The welding method is to output the low voltage from the welding heat source, meanwhile transport protective gas to welding area, produce arc between wire and welded workpiece and melt welding wire and the metal. GMAW has the advantages of simple welding zone protection, convenient operation of welding torch, suitable for continuous welding, easy full position welding and automatic welding. It can be divided into melting electrode active gas shielded arc welding (MAG), melting electrode CO2 gas shielded welding (CO2 weld) and melting electrode metal inertia gas welding (MIG)
